Studio Mane & Tales

Studio Mane and Tales invites you into a space that honours culture, community, and creativity.

Step inside a thoughtfully designed studio where world-trained hairdressing meets grassroots artistic expression. Owned and operated by hairdresser and photographer Elise Idiens, this hair salon also serves as a community arts space and exhibition studio in the heart of the coastal town of Bermagui.

With lime-washed walls, handcrafted timber exhibition rails, and a striking street-front exhibition window, the studio offers more than just a haircut. This unique space showcases art - particularly photography, that tells stories reflecting the diverse voices of our community, including works that respectfully celebrate and support First Nations culture. The space welcomes artists, educators, and curious minds from all walks of life.

Whether you're visiting for hair services, attending a community event, or looking to host a workshop or exhibition, Mane and Tales serves as a gathering place for learning and creative connection.

You're warmly invited to visit, contribute, or simply be part of something local and meaningful.
